IT Drop In at Lemington Centre

Picture: UseIT suite at Lemington Centre

Supported by Virtual Newcastle, the Lemington Centre offers two ways of dropping in to use our IT facilities:

  • Internet Café (9.30am till 8.30 pm Mon to Thurs and Fri 9am till 6pm )

We have 12 Internet Ready PC's available on a daily drop-in basis by members of the community. For a small fee (£1 per hour slot) you can read your E-mails, write to friends, look online for jobs and much much more.

The computers are also there for any word processing you may need to do. Printing is included in the fee!

  • Use IT Centre

UseIT @ Lemington, like all UseIT centres, offers a drop-in facility so that people can come along for a small fee and have access to ICT facilities such as email, word processing, surfing etc. Below is information you will need to know about Lemington's drop-in centre.

We have 12 Internet ready PC's.

Opening Times:

  • Monday - Thursday: 9.30am - 8.30pm
  • Friday: 9.30 - 6pm

Anyone over the age of 8 can use the computers (with their parents consent).

If you are aged under 12 you must sign in no later than 3.45pm and your session will end at 5pm.

How it works...

Users obtain a Centre Membership for £5 annually (£2 junior or unwaged).

Visitors to the area don't need to become members.

You need to sign up to the 'Terms of Use' Agreement and promise not to abuse the scheme or the equipment. Parents or guardians must sign on behalf of any young person under the age of 16 and explain to their children what they can and can't do.

Then it's ONLY £1 an hour!

When you arrive you pay your £1 at reception, you will then be allocated a PC and given a numbered card to take up to the Internet Café.
